LRP Publications is a thriving publisher of business-to-business newsletters, magazines, books, software, online services and more. In business for 29 years, we are recognized as the leader in many legal and professional markets.

We currently have 2 available staff writer positions in our Rosslyn, VA office. First, we are seeking a reporter to cover education issues on Capitol Hill for daily print and Web-based publication, Education Daily. We need people who can cultivate and report news quickly and accurately.

Education Daily is a daily six- to eight-page newsletter covering the latest news and issues in the education field from the nation s capital. Staff writers cover the Washington-based general education community for LRP s Virginia and Florida-based education products, including the EducationDaily.com Web site. The site is updated daily to provide in-depth, practical information and news for state, district and school-level administrators, beltway policy makers, and frontline educators. Staff writers contribute to a variety of publications that focus on specific areas within education, collect documents, studies, speeches and other information to populate a comprehensive database, and collaborate with colleagues to provide DC-centric coverage of legislative, policy, and regulatory issues.

The second staff writer position will cover Congress, the White House, federal agencies, associations, think tanks and experts for LRP's Federal Group products that service the federal human resources, labor relations and workers' compensation communities. Foremost among these products is the Web site, cyberFEDS®. This site is updated daily to provide coverage of new developments and offer practical guidance on the impact of those developments for federal HR practitioners. You will also contribute to LRP Publications' publications that focus on federal HR and EEO issues, including production of a monthly newsletter. You will have an opportunity to cover important developments within Washington and to meet decision-makers while writing about procedures that are critical to the operation of the federal administration.
