This position resides in the Marketing Department, which primarily supports Sales and is also responsible for a number of other functions critical to corporate communications. The Marketing Communications Specialist is part of a work group that writes and/or edits the vast majority of the content of Applied Systems business communications, including: Copywriting for business-to-business direct mailers, display ads, email ad campaigns and sales collateral; corporate website; product literature; newsletters; support materials for industry and internal events; and internal communications.
This specialist might also assist in other tasks carried out by the Communications work group, including writing press releases, trade press articles and customer success stories.
Qualifications:
- excellent writing, editing and interviewing skills
- versatile skill set to accomplish writing tasks for advertising as well as editorial projects
- familiarity with writing for print and web
- two years' relevant professional experience or with college publications
- intermediate-level proficiency in Word, PPT and Excel
- ability to manage simultaneous projects and prioritize workflow
- professional business demeanor
- 5% travel
Education Requirements: Four-year degree preferably in advertising, journalism, public relations or related field. Equivalent work experience in marketing or public relations will be considered.
